The Old Scotch Church is a beautiful reminder of the faith and hardiness and love of beauty that characterized Oregon's pioneers.

The Old Scotch Church is a beautiful reminder of the faith and hardiness and love of beauty that characterized Oregon's pioneers.

One of the oldest continuously used churches in Oregon, The Tualatin Plains Presbyterian Church, also known as "The Old Scotch Church" was established in 1873 by primarily Scottish immigrants who settled in the area. Many pioneers of the old Oregon Country are buried in the church's cemetery, including Joseph Meek, a mountain man and Oregon's first U.S. Marshall.
